How long does TalkBox.Mom take each week?
TalkBox.Mom is designed to fit different family schedules.
You can move through a Box quickly, take a steadier pace, or stretch it across a busier season. The program gives you 30 Practice Sessions per Box—10 in each of the three Challenges—so the amount of time you spend each week depends mostly on how quickly you want to move through those 30 sessions.
Most Practice Sessions take about 5–15 minutes, and then you use your Focus Phrase as part of normal life.
Choose the pace that works for your family
Here are three common ways to move through a Box:
About 1 month per Box
This is a faster pace for families who want to move through the program quickly.
You would complete about 7–8 Practice Sessions each week, which may mean doing more than one Practice Session on some days.
You’ll also complete a Weekly Review to keep phrases from previous Challenges in circulation.
This pace can work especially well when:
- you’re using TalkBox.Mom as part of a more structured high school language schedule
- your family is preparing for an upcoming trip
- language is a bigger focus for your family during a particular season
- your family simply enjoys practicing more frequently
About 2 months per Box
This is the pace many families choose.
Aim for about 4 Practice Sessions each week, plus a Weekly Review on another day.
For example:
Weekend or Monday: Weekly Review
Tuesday: Practice Session
Wednesday: Practice Session
Thursday: Practice Session
Friday: Practice Session
That gives your family frequent contact with the language while still leaving room for everything else happening during the week.
About 3 months per Box
If your schedule is fuller, you can slow the pace down without stopping your progress.
Aim for 2–3 Practice Sessions each week, plus a Weekly Review on another day.
For example:
Monday: Weekly Review
Wednesday: Practice Session
Friday: Practice Session
Weekend: Practice Session
This is a great option when school, work, sports, activities, or other priorities are taking more of your time.
You do not have to practice every day
TalkBox.Mom is not built around completing a long daily lesson.
A Practice Session prepares your family to use 1–2 Focus Phrases in real life, and that real-life use continues after you leave the app.
So a day without a new Practice Session does not mean you are taking a day off from the language. You may still be using Focus Phrases your family practiced earlier in the week.
Reviews help you keep what you have already built
As you move through a Challenge, Warm Ups bring back Focus Phrases from your earlier Practice Sessions.
After you complete a Challenge, those phrases move into a Review Set for Weekly Reviews.
That means you can keep moving forward without trying to practice every available phrase at once. The app continues bringing previous language back while you add something new.
What if our schedule changes?
You can change your pace.
If your family gets busier, you can slow down from a 1-month Box schedule to 2 or 3 months between Boxes. If you have more time, want to move faster, or are preparing for something like a trip, you can speed up from 3 months to 2 months or 1 month between Boxes.
You are not locked into the same delivery frequency for the entire program.
Your practice pace can change too. You might move quickly through one Box and take longer on the next depending on school, work, travel, sports, or whatever else is happening in your family.
The goal is to keep the program moving at a pace your family can actually sustain.

Choose the pace that fits your life, then keep using your Focus Phrases between Practice Sessions. That is how a few focused minutes of practice can turn into language your family uses throughout the week.
