Can I get app access if I bought TalkBox.Mom secondhand?
If you purchase TalkBox.Mom Boxes secondhand, you are purchasing the physical materials only.
App access stays with the family who originally purchased the program and cannot be transferred or resold.
This means a used Box purchase does not include access to the original family’s:
- Practice Sessions
- native-speaker audio
- Reviews
- progress
- digital program access
A helpful comparison is buying used textbooks for a course: you have the physical books, but you do not automatically receive the original student’s access to the course platform.
Can I still use the used Boxes?
Yes. You can use the physical materials you purchased.
If you want access to the TalkBox.Mom app and the full digital program experience, you would need to purchase program access for your own family.
Does app access cost less if I already own used Boxes?
No. Digital access is the same price with or without the physical Boxes.
The physical materials and the digital program access are not transferred together through a secondhand sale.
Why isn’t app access transferable?
App access is licensed to the family who originally purchased the program.
That family’s access includes their digital program, progress, Practice Sessions, Reviews, and other app features, so it stays with that original family rather than transferring with the physical Boxes.
How do I get app access if I already have used Boxes?
Start a TalkBox.Mom Box subscription for your family.
Digital program access is the same price whether or not you already own the physical Boxes.
During checkout, use the order note to tell us which physical Boxes you already own and do not need shipped.
For example: I already have the printed language guides for The Snacks & Kitchen Box and The Actions, Rooms & Games Box. Please do not ship those language guides.
We’ll use that note to make sure you receive the program access for your family without sending duplicate physical materials you already have.
