How to Do Video Prompt Practice Sessions
Step 1: Open the email.
Look for emails with “[Crew]” in the subject line. Video prompt session emails are titled “Today’s Practice Session.”
Step 2: Click the link to open the video prompt.
You can either click the gif or the link right below it.
Note: You can either open the experience on your laptop, phone, or tablet. If you have both the Video Prompt Practice Session and the TalkBox.Mo Companion App open on your phone, you can toggle between the two. The Video Prompt Practice Session will save your progress as you go.
If you have an interruption and the Practice Session starts over, you can simply type filler answers like "d" until you get to the part of the Practice Session where you left off.
Step 3: Watch the first video.
Hit the play button on the left to start the video with sound.
Step 4: Select your language.
Click the button for the language you’re practicing on the right side of the screen.
Step 5: Fill out the form.
If you choose to record videos during your Practice Session instead of typing answers, you can check the box to allow the TalkBox.Mom permission to share your videos publicly. We love being able to feature you and your hard work!
Once you're done, click Next Step to move on to the next video.
Step 6: Move through your Practice Session.
Continue to answer the questions from each video by taking the prompted action.
Like clicking the appropriate buttons on the right side of the screen.
Or typing in responses.
Or, in some instances, you'll be asked if you would like to type your response or record a video.
To record:
- Click Video on the right.
- Click Request Permissions to allow access to your camera and mic.
- When the popup appears on your browser, click Allow.
- Press the record button, then stop when finished.
- Click YES to send the video or NO to retry or choose text instead.
To respond by text:
- Click Text, type “Done,” and click the arrow to continue.
